Timing

Specialisterne is currently sourcing autistic individuals to participate in the Specialisterne Autism@Work four-week assessment.

Applications will be accepted up through June 10th by filling out this survey.

Those individuals with the interest, aptitude, and skills with a high probability of success will be invited to participate in the 4-week assessment. This unpaid 4-week assessment is designed to ensure the candidates experience the workplace and culture of IPG Mediabrands, and learn key skills to be able to work effectively with their teams.

The Assessment will begin on July 8th and continue through August 2nd.  Successful candidates will progress to a paid 90-day contractor position (as per the position’s salary) where at the end of the 90 days a joint decision will take place to determine a move towards permanent employment.  All successful graduates of the Specialisterne Neurodiversity at Work four-week assessment, regardless of a job offer, can put the successful completion on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to show workplace readiness.

Important Dates

Application Deadline:  June 10th 2019

Specialisterne Information Workshops:  June 25th or June 26th 10:00am – 3:00pm

Specialisterne Neurodiversity at Work four-week assessment:

  • Week 1 – July 8-12 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Week 2 – July 15-19 9:30am – 4:00pm
  • Week 3 – July 22-26 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Week 4 – July 20-August 2 9:00am – 5:00pm

Successful autism@work pilot candidates will begin work approximately September 3.

Skills Evaluation, Assessment, and Selection Process

Applicants for this autism@work pilot program will be evaluated, assessed and selected according to the standard Specialisterne methodology.

Those demonstrating proven autism diagnosis, appropriate interest and aptitude through a resume review as well as a telephone/video discussion with Specialisterne staff will be invited to participate in a 4-week skills evaluation and assessment program in New York.  The available slots are limited.  The 4-week assessment falls under the IPG Mediabrands unpaid internship program.

Employment Outcomes

Successful candidates will be offered a paid three-month contract position, approximate start date of September 3rd.  At the end of three months, a review will take place with the candidates and IPG Mediabrands to ensure both are happy to continue working together.  If both parties are in agreement, a full-time permanent employee contract will be presented at that time.  All positions included in this program, from the four-week assessment through to employment are FULL-TIME positions.

Location

The assessment program, as well as the potential future job duties will take place in New York, New York.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with numbers and synthesize data

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Interest in learning how online advertising works
  • Understanding how all the pieces of database fit together
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience or interest in learning Python, SQL, SAS, R, HTML, Java Script or AWS
  • Tableau or other data visualization software
  • Experience with statistical analysis
