Timing

Specialisterne is currently sourcing individuals to participate in the Specialisterne Neurodiversity at Work four-week assessment.  Cover letters and resumes will be accepted up through October 1st.  Those individuals with the interest, aptitude, and skills for a high probability of success will be invited to participate in the 4-week assessment. This unpaid 4-week assessment is designed to ensure the candidates experience the workplace and culture of IPG Mediabrands, and learn key skills to be able to work effectively with their teams.  The Assessment will begin on October 15th and continue through November 9th.  Successful candidates will progress to a paid 90 day contractor position (as per the position’s salary) where at the end of the 90 days a joint decision will take place to determine a move towards permanent employment.  All successful graduates of the Specialisterne Neurodiversity at Work four-week assessment, regardless of a job offer, can put the successful completion on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to show workplace readiness.

Important Dates

  • Week 1 – October 15 – 19 9:30am – 4:30pm
  • Week 2 – October 22 – 26 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Week 3 – October 29 – November 2 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Week 4 – November 5 – 9 9:00am – 5:00pm

Skills Evaluation, Assessment, and Selection Process

Applicants for this pilot program will be evaluated, assessed and selected according to the standard Specialisterne methodology.

Those demonstrating appropriate interest and aptitude through a resume review as well as a telephone/video discussion with Specialisterne staff will be invited to participate in a 4-week skills evaluation and assessment program in San Francisco.  The available slots are limited.  The 4-week assessment falls under the IPG Mediabrands unpaid internship program.

**Participation in the skills evaluation and assessment program DOES NOT guarantee employment.

Employment Outcomes

Successful candidates will be offered a paid three-month contract position, approximate start date of November 28th.  At the end of three months, a review will take place with the candidates and IPG Mediabrands to ensure both are happy to continue working together.  If both parties are in agreement, a full time permanent employee contract will be presented at that time.  All positions included in this program, from the four-week assessment through to employment are FULL TIME positions.

Location

The assessment program, as well as the potential future job duties will take place in San Francisco, CA.

Operations Manager – Mediabrands Data & Technology

The Marketing Sciences team drives the analytic engine that support our account management, planning teams, and clients to make informed decisions to improve media ROI. We drive a system of working that puts data, analytics, and technology at the core of every media planning decision.

Position Summary

As an Operations Manager in Marketing Sciences you will support strategic marketing mix work and innovate custom analytics solutions.  There is no direct management of any team members in this role.  This position is critical in having extensive knowledge in applying analytics to measure and optimize marketing investments.  You will learn how to apply your advanced data science background to support the maintenance, enhancement and prototyping of our suite of analytic offerings.  You will develop a strong understanding of the US data and ad tech ecosystem with a focus on modeling methodology and optimization techniques.  Through on the job training you will develop expertise with our current analytic platforms in addition to their underlying math and code bases.  The position reports to a Vice President, Marketing Sciences.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in developing next generation solutions such as Multitouch Attribution (MTA) and brand funnel modeling
  • Learn the front and back ends of analytic platforms
  • Improve, document and quality test current code base
  • Execute running marketing mix models and optimizations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with some of the below statistical modeling and machine learning techniques:
    • Linear regression, Logistic regression, Mixed effect regression analysis
    • Markov Chains
    • Structural equation modeling, path analysis
    • Bayesian modeling techniques, e.g., Markov Chain Monte Carlo
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL or SAS
  • Familiarity with optimization routines:
    • Convex Optimization, Nonlinear optimization, mixed integer programming, nonlinear programming
  • Knowledge of optimization software packages is a plus:
    • GAMS, AMPL, Gurobi, SciPy/Python, Optimx/R

Software Engineer

Job Description

Mediabrands is looking for a Java Engineer to perform R&D and implement state of the art adtech applications. The ideal candidate would be hands-on in implementing modern architecture using latest technology frameworks. The candidate should enjoy working in a startup-like environment and be able to function well independently or in cross-functional teams. This position offers challenging opportunities to leverage your strong architecture, design and technical knowledge to deliver next generation application products for US and International deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on development. Design and write clean, robust, well-tested code.
  • Perform research and development to evaluate new technologies, ideas and communicate value for company.
  • Ability to work with Product Manager and Engineering teams to develop great digital media applications.
  • Interest in exploit next generation technologies such as BlockChain, AI etc.
  • Interest in statistics and mathematics to create and statistical and mathematical models to adtech to create audiences and build optimizers
